Fees Policy
at Beesley And Company Solicitors
There are a number of fees options that we can agree
upon, the following are the main categories:
No Win No Fee - Conditional Fees for Personal Injury
In some cases, particularly Personal Injury, we might
be willing to act on a No Win No Fee basis. The basis
of a No Win No Fee is that if you lose your case you
do not have to pay the legal costs you have incurred.
Contingency Fees for Criminal Injury Compensation
Authority (CICA) Cases and Employment
In some cases, where the law allows us to do so, we
can agree that our costs be expressed as a percentage
of whatever is awarded to you. The percentage figure
agreed between us is assessed at the outset and is dependent
on what our assessment is of the prospects of success.
You will meet disbursements in addition to the percentage
claimed.
Legal Aid relevant to Housing and Civil Actions Against
the Police.
If you qualify on financial grounds and we believe
your case has merit, we will assist you in submitting
an application for Legal Aid to the Legal Services Commission.
Once your application has been assessed as successful,
a certificate of Legal Aid may be granted with or without
money contribution to you. If you do have a contribution
to pay, you must pay the first instalment before a certificate
is issued.
Fixed Fees
In the case of private clients (for example conveyancing,
wills and probate), we may be willing to act for you
on a fixed fee basis. For instance if you are buying
or selling a house or require your Will preparing we
can give you a quote as to our costs for your consideration.
Other Fees
Our charges will be calculated by reference to the
time spent by the person dealing with this matter and
by other Executive Staff. |
